Step Up for Down Syndrome 2020

Evie's Entourage

We are excited to be participating in the Step Up for Down Syndrome walk again this year. This year we will be walking in our neighborhood instead of Forest Park. But, I' sure that families from all over the STL area will be participating from their homes as well. Over the past 11 years, Evie’s Entourage has raised thousands of dollars for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis (DSAGSL) - incredible! Those dollars have helped so many families including ours. They provide low or no cost resources and opportunities for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. The DSAGSL helps in so many ways, from the support and encouragement of the families that just received a diagnosis, to advocacy training to educational classes and resources for schools as well as job training and social activities for adults with Down Syndrome. The DSAGSL has been a great resource to our family and to the Down Syndrome community and we are thankful for all of you who have contributed in the past.

Evie is 12-years-old now and just finished 5th grade at Stanton Elementary. She'll be starting Middle school next year. She has great teachers, therapists, and teacher assistants who love and care for her everyday. It’s so comforting to know that she has friends and people that love her at school and help her to learn and grow and be an important part of her school community.

This year she has been active in Girl Scouts and loves attending a dance class every Friday after school with her friends. She's become a huge fan of Mary Poppins and the Muppets and, to the great joy of her father, she loves playing Mario Cart Wii! She's also enjoys playing card games like Uno, Crazy 8's, charades and Old Maid. We are proud of all the achievements she has made this year and love her more and more.

It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause by making your tax-deductible donation online using the link below. If you would prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below.
